Not knowing where to go is ok. Not knowing what to write is ok. In fact, it may be the most free way to be. There is nothing to stop me from writing anything, other than my own imagination. If I wanted to, I could scream, or eat ice cream or dance. There was hesitation there I thought harder than I should have. This is supposed to be an exercise in stream of conscious writing. Why? Because I said so. And I’m the boss. In charge of the things that come to mind. And I feel like arguing for some reason. Maybe it’s because I don’t feel like writing a normal poem today. Instead I want to share a bit of what my mind does throughout the day. Interesting? Answer if you’d like but there is no wrong answer. Or care, on my part. Because this is just an exercise in stream of conscious writing and I think I’ve said enough.

I’ve found it freeing this month to write a lot about what’s going on in my head. Often the thoughts change/stop after I’ve written that down. I’ve quit journalling a long time ago, but blogging about my thoughts seems to work for now. I enjoyed reading your stream of consciousness. The shared humanity is one thing I love about my first round of #NaBloPoMo.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on this post. Writing is such a release and relief. So glad that I finally listened (after fighting to do it for so long) to a friend of mine who suggested I journal. While I don’t journal anymore either, it seems we have a similar take and path. It worked when we needed it most.
Shared humanity indeed.
It’s my first go round as well. Welcome!

Now I’m screaming for ice cream but I’m the boss, so I don’t need to scream, I just need to go and do the dirty deed 🙂 I really like how this one spills out and the questions you have tucked away in the middle and towards the end. We’re taking this journey together wherever it leads and we’re going to have a damn good time doing so too 🙂
